Job summary

Ampact’s Math Corps is seeking Math Tutors to work with students in local schools, delivering structured math activities and coaching. Trainable even without math expertise, tutors will lead small groups, follow a set schedule, and monitor progress with ongoing support from a school-based coach.

Positions are part of AmeriCorps, offering a funded service experience, biweekly stipends, and education benefits.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance and timeliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, basic software).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years+ with a HS diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a school-day schedule.
• Track student progress and meet with the onsite coach.
• Record student scores in data software.
