Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, seeks upbeat Math Tutors to work with students at local schools. You'll deliver short, highly focused math practice sessions and help students progress daily. We provide training and ongoing coaching, with groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes and regular check-ins with a school onsite coach.

Part-time and full-time positions are available for the 2026-27 year. AmeriCorps benefits include health insurance, child care assistance, and tuition support;

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
