Job summary

Ampact is seeking Math Tutors to support students in local schools as part of the Math Corps program. You will lead small-group tutoring, follow a school-aligned schedule, and help students build math skills with coaching support.

Earn an AmeriCorps stipend while contributing to a nationwide tutoring effort. The role offers daytime hours, a part-time option, and education benefits through the program.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve from feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a HS diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
