Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is recruiting tutors to work in local schools helping students improve math skills. You’ll meet groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, guide them, and return to the next group, with coaching along the way.

This AmeriCorps position offers a biweekly paycheck, a $17.94 per hour stipend, health insurance, childcare assistance, and education benefits; you’ll join a nationwide tutoring effort and contribute to student growth while gaining training and community

Qualifications

• Must be dependable with good attendance history.
• Able to follow instructions and use feedback for improvement.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure support.
• Track student progress and meet with onsite coach regularly.
• Enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
