Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is hiring Math Tutors to work with students in local schools, providing focused 20–30 minute sessions in small groups. No math whiz required—we train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way.

Positions run 2026–2027, with 35 hours per week (Mon–Fri), on-site at schools. AmeriCorps benefits include a biweekly paycheck and comprehensive health and education perks.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable with good attendance history.
• Ability to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic email and online navigation.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful resident; background check cleared.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for small groups of students.
• Follow a set schedule to ensure consistent support.
• Track progress and report to onsite coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Engage in coaching and training to grow professionally.
• Share experiences with the Math Corps community.
