Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to support students at a local school. You’ll work with small groups (up to 3) for 20–30 minutes each day, guiding practice and helping students return to class.

You’ll track progress and collaborate with an onsite coach, with training provided to deliver proven activities. As an AmeriCorps member, you’ll receive a biweekly paycheck (stipend) and eligibility for education awards.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to support students.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
