Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking a Math Tutor to work in a local school, providing small-group math practice and coaching students to build skills and confidence.

As an AmeriCorps member you’ll receive a stipend of $17.94 per hour, with health insurance, childcare assistance, loan forbearance, and education benefits. Positions run 35 hours per week, weekdays only, for the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and respond to feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
