Job summary

Math Corps, powered by AmeriCorps and administered by Ampact, is hiring Math Tutors to support students in local schools. You will lead small-group tutoring sessions, follow a structured schedule, and track progress with coaching staff.

You’ll receive training, participate in ongoing coaching, and contribute to a community impact initiative through AmeriCorps. Position runs Aug 2026–June 2027, with part-time options available.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with a track record of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and apply feedback to improve.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
