Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps seeks tutors to work in local schools, delivering 20–30 minute math practice sessions to groups of up to 3 students each day. You’ll guide students, track progress, and collaborate with on-site coaches. Training is provided to help you deliver proven activities and grow in the role.

Hires begin for the 2026-27 school year. Part-time options exist with 20, 27.5, or 35 hours per week. AmeriCorps stipend and education awards are included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Dependable with good attendance.
• 18+ years old and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
