Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is hiring a Math Tutor to work at local schools, guiding groups of up to 3 students for 20-30 minutes of math practice each session.

You'll receive training to deliver proven activities, track progress, and collaborate with an on-site coach. The program operates Monday through Friday during the school year, with full-time and part-time positions available and a stipend through AmeriCorps.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
