Job summary

GO Tutor Corps, in partnership with AmeriCorps, seeks dedicated fellows to provide targeted math tutoring in school communities. Fellows will work in small groups, collaborate with staff, and help students build confidence and skills through in-person instruction.

Ideal candidates are eager to contribute to educational equity, develop mentoring abilities, and stay committed to a fixed schedule including mandatory training sessions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Citizenship or legal Permanent Residency status in the United States (AmeriCorps requirement)
• Served no more than three previous AmeriCorps service terms (AmeriCorps requirement)
• At least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Academic Tutoring - Fellows work with small groups of students to increase achievement in Math and/or ELA.
• Mentoring & Enrichment - Fellows mentor students, supporting social and emotional development and goal setting for the future
