Job summary

Blueprint Schools Network is seeking AmeriCorps Math Fellows to deliver daily small-group math instruction during the school day, helping students build confidence and foundational skills while gaining real classroom experience. Fellows receive onboarding, coaching, collaborative planning, and ongoing professional development throughout the program year.

This AmeriCorps role centers on equitable instruction, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, data-driven instruction, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and eligible to serve.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Satisfy AmeriCorps National Service Criminal History Check.
• Education: current enrollment in a degree program, or completion of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• English proficiency required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Core competencies: passion for educational equity, strong communication, empathy, adaptability.
• Commitment to full school-year term and reliable commuting to assigned school.
• Satisfy Blueprint and local background screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact, daily, small-group math instruction during the school day.
• Track student progress and adapt instructional approaches in real time.
• Build meaningful relationships to foster academic confidence and engagement in math.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, school admins, and AmeriCorps members to align tutoring with instruction.
• Engage in daily planning, 1-on-1 coaching, and structured professional development (up to 72 hours per year).
• Maintain service commitments by completing required service hours over the school year.
