Job summary

Math Corps is seeking tutors to work with small groups of students at local schools, delivering math practice and coaching to help them build skills and confidence. Training and ongoing support are provided as you guide students through targeted activities each day.

As an AmeriCorps member, you’ll participate in a program that emphasizes growth, community impact, and service hours, with a range of scheduling options and a stipend/education awards opportunity.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
