Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to help students at a local school build math skills through short, focused sessions. Each day you’ll work with small groups (up to three students) for 20–30 minutes and then return them to class, repeating with the next group.

You’ll receive training, track progress, and collaborate with an on-site coach. This role emphasizes growth, feedback, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
