Ampact is seeking Math Tutors for the Math Corps program to work with students in local schools, delivering structured math practice sessions. Training is provided to help you deliver proven activities and guidance from experienced coaches.

You will tutor groups of students, track progress, and participate in ongoing coaching and community engagement. This role emphasizes growth, role modeling, and supporting students through daily classroom-aligned activities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
• Dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
