Job summary

Ampact is seeking Math Corps tutors to help students in a local school build math skills and confidence. Each day you’ll work with groups of up to three students for 20–30 minutes, then transition to the next group and return to the classroom as needed.

You will be trained to deliver proven activities, track progress, and collaborate with on-site coaches. Opportunities include full-time AmeriCorps stipends and part-time roles for the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
