Job summary

Ampact, through Math Corps, is seeking Math Tutors to work in local schools, delivering targeted 20–30 minute tutoring sessions to small groups. The role includes coaching, tracking progress, and participating in on-site training.

You will join a high-impact program powered by AmeriCorps, with opportunities for growth, and a schedule that runs August 2026–June 2027. This is an on-site tutoring position with part-time options available.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizenship, national, or lawful permanent resident required.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
