Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to work with students in local schools, providing 20–30 minute tutoring sessions in small groups and tracking progress with on-site coaching. Training will be provided to deliver proven activities and support learners throughout the school year.

We offer structured hours, regular coaching, and opportunities to contribute to the community while developing teaching skills. This role supports the Math Corps mission across participating schools.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and use feedback to improve.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure support.
• Track student progress and meet with the school coach.
• Enter student scores into data software and conduct skill assessments.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
