Job summary

Math Corps, powered by Ampact, seeks tutors to work in local schools guiding groups of students through math practice and skill-building activities. You will be trained to deliver proven activities and coached throughout the program.

Shifts run during school hours, with groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, Monday–Friday, October 2026 through June 2027. Full training and AmeriCorps benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
