Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking a Materials Operations Supervisor to lead the Material Operations department in Tucson, AZ. You will oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, and distribution while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
• At least one year of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups across functional lines is required.
• Strong interpersonal, tactful, and diplomatic skills are essential.
• Knowledge of financial analysis and project management is needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities of the work group, including safety, workflow prioritization, resource allocation, and scheduling.
• Promote a strong safety culture through leadership and training.
• Provide coaching and performance management to employees.
• Partner with HR and Labor Relations on employee relations matters per policies and union agreements.
• Conduct performance reviews and develop employee growth plans.
• Monitor operations to optimize productivity and customer service.
• Review processes and metrics to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
• Develop solutions to improve material availability, inventory accuracy, and warehouse efficiency.
• Assist in preparing departmental budgets including forecasting and cost control.
• Coordinate with internal customers and other units to plan and execute work activities.
• Resolve customer concerns by identifying practical solutions and removing barriers.
