Job summary

UNS Energy Corporation is seeking a Materials Operations Supervisor to lead the safe, efficient operation of the Material Operations department in support of utility operations. This role oversees warehouse operations, inventory, logistics, material distribution, and related supply chain activities.

You will direct workforce planning, performance management, coaching, training, and employee engagement while driving operational excellence, cost control, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of relevant experience and strong communication across diverse teams.
• Broad knowledge of business functions, financial analysis, and project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and facilitate daily activities of the Material Operations group, ensuring safety and productivity.
• Promote a strong safety culture with training and adherence to policies.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and development planning for staff.
• Collaborate with HR and Labor Relations on employee matters per policies and labor agreements.
• Monitor performance metrics, optimize workload, reduce backlogs and maintain service levels.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control with variance analysis.
• Coordinate with internal customers and other units to ensure efficient planning and execution of work.
• Assist in implementing inventory management systems and warehouse improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
