Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead a team responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems at Tucson-area power plants. You will oversee union staff, ensure safety, manage outages, and coordinate with multiple plant sections to keep generation at peak performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver License in good standing.
• Minimum six years power plant experience in relevant roles.
• Must have computer skills and strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Hire, promote, assign, and direct staff; supervise employees and monitor activities.
• Provide clear direction, resolve technical and employee relations issues, and conduct performance reviews.
• Apply knowledge of plant processes to resolve maintenance and operations problems.
• Ensure all work is safe, environmentally compliant, and aligns with OEM and industry best practices.
• Identify process improvements and manage training plans for staff.
• Coordinate with other Power Generation sections to schedule maintenance and operations.
• Plan outages with outside contractors, procure parts, and assign work to the team.
• Develop specifications, source vendors, and ensure outside contractor work meets schedule.
• Manage budgets, track costs, and analyze variances; maintain records.
• This position may serve affiliates per company policies.
