Job summary

UNS Energy Corporation in Tucson seeks a dedicated supervisor to lead a team responsible for repair of mechanical, electrical and I&C equipment at Tucson Power Production plants. You will oversee union staff and ensure a safe, compliant work environment.

The role involves coordinating outages, coordinating with O&M and capital projects, and driving efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards. Strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience supervising union staff.
• Strong safety and environmental compliance knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, promote, assign, and direct staff; supervise employees and manage workflow.
• Provide direction and resolve employee relations issues; conduct performance reviews.
• Apply knowledge of plant processes to resolve maintenance problems.
• Ensure work is safe, environmentally compliant, and per OEM recommendations.
• Coordinate outages and plan for equipment downtime; interface with other sections.
• Develop specifications and oversee work by outside contractors.
• Manage budgets and track costs; maintain records.
