Job summary

Tucson Electric Power is seeking entry to mid-level Buyers/Planners to procure materials, equipment and services for the company and its affiliates. The role covers issuing POs, supplier interviews, and managing supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality while aligning with material planning and forecast needs.

The position may evolve with increased complexity and collaboration with planning, engineering, and maintenance teams to optimize the procurement process and support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; additional business degree preferred.
• Experience in supply chain/procurement is a plus.
• Familiarity with procure-to-pay processes and purchasing systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Issues purchase orders for materials, equipment and limited services.
• Interviews supplier representatives to maintain reliable sources of supply.
• Develops and implements procurement contracts for materials and services.
• Reviews requisitions and ensures accuracy of terms, prices and delivery details.
• Expedites overdue material and resolves supplier performance issues.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate quotations for cost and specification conformity.
• Coordinate with end users, warehouse, and accounts payable on supply chain needs.
• Support Operational Excellence goals.
