Job summary

Tucson Electric Power seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team responsible for mechanical, electrical and instrument control maintenance across power plants. You will manage outages, coordinate with outside contractors and ensure safe, compliant operations aligned with OEM guidelines and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver License in good standing.
• Minimum six (6) years power plant experience in related roles.
• Must possess computer skills to complete job requirements.
• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• hires, promotes, assigns, and directs staff; monitors safety and performance reviews.
• Provides direction, resolves technical questions and employee relations issues.
• Applies knowledge of plant processes to resolve maintenance and operations problems.
• Ensures work is performed safely, environmentally compliant, per OEM and industry best practices.
• Reviews operations to identify process improvements and control costs.
• Identifies training needs and ensures staff obtain required training.
• Coordinates with other Power Generation sections to schedule maintenance activities.
• Plans outages by scheduling contractors, procuring parts and assigning work to team.
• Ensures equipment is functioning after outages and oversees contractor work to spec.
