Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Minimum six (6) years of journeyman level experience in Power Plant Operations

Responsibilities

• Hire, promote, assign, and direct staff.
• Supervises employees; monitors safety, prioritizing workflow, staffing/scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Provides direction to employees; resolves technical questions and employee relation issues.
• Completes employee performance reviews and provides feedback during mid-cycle updates.
• Applies knowledge of plant processes to safely resolve maintenance and operations problems.
• Reviews area operations to identify processes/procedures/operations improvements.
• Coordinates and interfaces with other Power Generation sections to schedule maintenance and operations.
• Ensures Unit performs within pre-determined regulatory and design parameters.
• Assists in dispatching directives regarding generation limits and switching procedures.
• Oversees plant activities, including maintenance functions, when supervision is limited
