Job summary

VIP, Inc. seeks a Master Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, following VIP processes and safety guidelines. The technician must complete required training, obtain ASE certifications, and deliver quality service while promoting a 5-for-5 customer engagement approach.

Responsibilities include ensuring proper work orders, safe vehicle handling, and a clean, efficient shop environment, with a standard 40-hour work week in a non-exempt hourly role.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers clearly and answer questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Be able to perform the automotive services listed in this job.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1 and follow safety policies.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services for vehicles covering ASE A1–A8.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed with the vehicle.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Handle parts from the Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain productivity targets and safe operation of shop equipment.
• Train and certify in VIP Processes and ASE certifications as required.
• Perform regular shop maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
