Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, ensuring first-time right service. You will follow VIP processes, complete Service Work Orders, MPI, and participate in 5-for-5 Customer Engagement, while maintaining safety and shop standards.

The role requires ASE certifications (G1-A8 depending on level), valid driver’s license, and commitment to safety and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Effectively explain vehicle information to customers, present and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to successfully perform required types of automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Workplace safety is Priority #1 and all safety trainings are completed.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services for automotive systems (ASE A1–A8).
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed during service.
• Ensure an MPI is completed prior to initiating service and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Return unused parts to the Desk Team after service and manage cores/batteries/tires properly.
• Train, certify, and maintain ASE certifications per position requirements.
