Job summary

VIP, Inc. in Rockland, ME is seeking a Master Technician (non-exempt, hourly) to diagnose, repair, and maintain automotive systems. You will follow VIP processes, ensure safety, complete service work orders, and support the 5-for-5 customer engagement program.

The role requires ASE certifications and a background across engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical systems. You will work with the service team to deliver quality workmanship in a safe, clean environment, and you must complete LMS

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals, and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information to customers clearly and effectively.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to automotive problems.
• Interpret and apply written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Perform automotive services listed in the duties above.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workplace safety as the first responsibility.
• Provide diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for multiple automotive systems.
• Initiate Service Work Orders and display them with the vehicle during service.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Return unused parts to the desk after service and manage cores.
• Maintain productivity targets and ensure work is done right the first time.
• Attend meetings and complete LMS training as required.
