Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Master Technician to expertly diagnose automotive systems and perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance with a focus on safety and first-time quality. Expect adherence to VIP processes, strong teamwork, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role requires completing training, achieving ASE certifications, and supporting the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process while maintaining a 16-week productivity standard. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers clearly and confidently.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions in written or schedule form.
• Perform the automotive services listed in qualifications with proper technique.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workplace safety as the number one focus and report unsafe conditions.
• Provide diagnostics, repair, and maintenance across automotive systems per ASE standards.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is started and displayed with the vehicle.
• Complete MPI and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Return unused parts to the Desk Team after service and manage cores.
• Maintain a minimum productivity target and uphold VIP quality standards.
• Attend required training and team meetings as scheduled.
