Job summary

VIP, Inc. in Gorham, ME is seeking a Master Technician to lead diagnostic and repair work with a focus on safety, quality, and first-time right service.

You will perform ASE-certified maintenance across engine, transmission, brakes, steering, and electrical systems while ensuring shop safety, proper documentation, and adherence to VIP service standards. You will train, earn state inspections, and support the Service Manager with parts, tools, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and apply technical instructions.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions for automotive problems.
• Apply safety and regulatory requirements in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as Priority #1 and follow all safety policies.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for automotive systems.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is started and displayed during service.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Obtain parts from Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain productivity targets and VIP quality standards.
