Job summary

ConocoPhillips, through Polar Tankers, offers a Safety Sensitive position on oil tanker operations, requiring separation of deck, engine and galley duties. You will follow directives from Chief Mate, First Engineer, and Steward while supporting drills and safety protocols. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, hold or obtain a U.S.

Passport, and possess TWIC and MMC credentials. Endorsements in Basic Training and related areas are required.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain, a U.S. Passport.
• Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) is required.
• Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) is required.
• Basic Training, Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD), Security Awareness, Ordinary Seafarer, Wiper, Steward’s department Food Handler (FH), Tankerman Assistant endorsements are required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans decks and ladder ways; replenishes materials; maintains engine room spaces; participates in maintenance and upkeep.
• Performs sanitation duties in living and working spaces; assists with mooring lines, cargo operations, and deck upkeep; acts as lookout as required.
