Job summary

ConocoPhillips seeks a 3rd Assistant Engineer to oversee diesel generators, air compressors, purifiers and electrical systems aboard Polar Tankers. You will work under the Chief Engineer, participate in drills, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while on extended offshore tours.

Requirements include U.S. work authorization, MMC endorsements, TWIC, and the ability to sustain long shifts and 24/7 on-call availability. A relevant Marine Engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Present Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) endorsements listed in MMC Endorsements.
• TWIC card must be in possession.
• Must meet all Basic Endorsement Requirements on MMC.
• Capable of long tours and 24/7 on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

• Supervise under Chief Engineer; operate and monitor entire engineering plant.
• Maintain generators, electric motors, air compressors, and purifiers.
• Perform electrical work aboard the ship; conduct rounds and drills; test insulation resistance.
• Monitor engine control room activities and support safety and pollution prevention.
