Job summary

ConocoPhillips’ Polar Tankers division seeks an Offshore Oiler to support engine room operations aboard five double-hulled tankers delivering crude to West Coast refineries. You will work under the First Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer, perform routine maintenance, monitor machinery, and participate in drills and safety procedures.

This safety-sensitive role requires valid MMC and TWIC, US work authorization, and the ability to spend extended periods at sea.

Qualifications

• Leadership competencies required: accountability, performance, decision making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and perform maintenance.
• Clean main engine scavenge air box.
• Clean lube and fuel oil purifiers and filters.
• Take tank soundings and top off tanks as directed.
• Assist with crane and rigging operations after training.
• Maintain decks, engine room, and living spaces.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Chipping, scraping, and painting.
