Job summary

Hornblower Group in Massachusetts seeks an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, labor productivity, safety standards, and quality control as well as carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies, to ensure the highest level of Customer Service.

The role requires coordinating vessel tasking, ensuring vessel drills meet USCG and company requirements, and managing scheduling for marine personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a management role.
• Effective communication skills to direct crew and ensure safety.
• Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of vessels and facility.
• Establishs effective communications between departments to coordinate vessel tasking.
• Ensures vessel drills are conducted and logged per USCG and company requirements.
• Report 60 days in advance any upcoming inspections and schedule inspection dates with USCG.
• Maintains accurate accident reports and timely documentation.
• Coordinate with HR to recruit, train, and retain staff within the port.
• Oversee scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate marine personnel coverage.
