Job summary

Motorola Solutions, including Silvus Technologies, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps defense requirements. The role supports field tests and demonstrations across expeditionary and tactical environments, with up to 50% travel and substantial remote work potential.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Business Development teams, translate field feedback into roadmap inputs, and engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, and naval centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years’ demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defence technology roles.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Citizen due to clients and U.S. federal contractor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical capabilities and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across expeditionary environments.
• Support field tests, trials, modernizations, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures.
• Align with Business Development to support strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for expeditionary networking needs.
• Perform market research for potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations.
