Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer requirements. This role supports field tests and demonstrations across expeditionary, littoral, ground, airborne, and unmanned environments while interfacing with engineering and business development teams.

The candidate will travel up to 50% and may work remotely depending on location, reporting to the Director of Applications Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical comms systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure systems, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark data and verify proposed architectures.
• Coordinate with BD to align work with strategic priorities.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary networks.
• Provide technical input for RFI/RFP responses.
• Research potential partner integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% for tests, meetings, and demonstrations.
