Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps. You will bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, supporting field tests and stakeholder demonstrations across expeditionary, littoral, and tactical environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel, close collaboration with Engineering and BD teams, and prior experience with SDRs, TCP/IP networking, Linux, Python, or C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical comm systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security clearance: Active SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months; US citizen required; background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live field trials and tests.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to use testing data for design validation.
• Coordinate with Business Development to address technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Prepare technical demos for expeditionary and tactical edge networks.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research for integrations.
