Job summary

Motorola Solutions, Silvus Technologies, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps. The role bridges RF engineering with defense customer needs, reporting to Applications Engineering leadership.

Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer engagements, with remote-work options depending on location. You will support demonstrations, benchmark data reviews, and collaboration with engineering and business development to translate field feedback into roadmap inputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field.
• 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen for clients under U.S. government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live field trials.
• Collaborate on testing data to verify architectures are sound.
• Coordinate with BD team to align work with strategic priorities.
• Assist in building/ presenting technical demos for expeditionary edge networking.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP proposal support.
• Perform market research for potential integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers.
