Job summary

Motorola Solutions, via its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Marine Corps engagements. Bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, support field trials, and coordinate with engineering and business development teams.

Role involves up to 50% travel, remote work possibility based on location, and collaboration across MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers. Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify proposed architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to support technical needs.
• Help build and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and end‑to‑end network architecture test plans.
• Travel 25–50% as required for field tests and customer meetings.
