Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements across expeditionary and littoral environments.

You will work with Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability, conduct field trials, and translate field feedback into roadmap inputs. 50% travel, remote options depending on location, and US citizenship are requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of relevant experience; OR HS diploma with 5+ years of defense experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communications systems.
• Security clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and execute field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark data and verify solution architectures.
• Support BD in addressing technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel 25–50% for field tests and demonstrations.
