Job summary

Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps. You will bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, supporting acquisition stakeholders and field demonstrations across expeditionary environments.

Role involves travel up to 50%, collaboration with Engineering and Business Development, and translating field feedback into roadmap inputs while maintaining strong cross‑functional alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and mapping requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing and benchmarking data to verify solution architectures.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting demonstrations tailored to expeditionary and tactical edge networking needs.
• Contribute input and review for RFI/RFP proposals.
• Perform market research to identify integrations with industry partners and test end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Gather field feedback to translate into product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel 50% for field tests and demonstrations.
