Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps needs. You will support field trials, demonstrations, and technical assessments across expeditionary and tactical environments, with travel up to 50% and a flexible remote option depending on location.

The role collaborates with Applications Engineering and Business Development, requiring a strong RF background, SDR exposure, and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles.
• OR HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant technical/defense experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Support planning, network configuration, and live-field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Align with BD team to support technical needs and priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Conduct market research for partner integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with MARCOR SYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers.
• Capture field feedback to inform product roadmap inputs.
