Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for USMC engagements, bridging RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer requirements. You’ll work with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster systems across expeditionary environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel, US citizenship, and a SECRET clearance process. You will report to the Director of Applications Engineering and help translate battlefield needs into product roadmap inputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field; or HS diploma with 5+ years relevant technical experience.
• Exposure to Software‑Defined Radios and RF test concepts required.
• Security Clearance: Active SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map operational requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan network configuration, field trials, modernizations, and live evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing data and verify architectures.
• Support Business Development in aligning work with strategic priorities.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research; travel up to 50%.
