Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Marine Corps programs, bridging RF capabilities with defense customer needs. You will collaborate with engineering and business development to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across expeditionary environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel, security clearance eligibility, and remote work flexibility depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience; OR HS diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP networking, Linux, and scripting (Python, C++) for test automation.
• Ability to work in remote team environments and travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Map operational requirements to tactical radio solutions for MAGTF networks.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to validate architectures with continuous testing and benchmarking.
• Align with Business Development on technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Create and present technical demos for expeditionary networking needs.
• Conduct market research for integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems and naval centers.
• Gather field feedback to drive product roadmap inputs and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and field tests.
