Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Marine Corps requirements. You will work with the Applications Engineering team to demonstrate interoperability of the StreamCaster MANET radios across expeditionary environments.

This role involves up to 50% travel for field tests, demonstrations, and collaboration with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, and PEO Land Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to validate architectures.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development for technical needs.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations for expeditionary networking.
• Contribute input for RFI/RFP responses.
• Perform market research for potential integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
