Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USMC customer requirements. You’ll work with Applications Engineering and BD to demonstrate interoperability, field-readiness, and solution architectures across expeditionary environments.

Travel up to 50% for field tests and demonstrations, with a remote-working option depending on location. Bachelor’s in a related field and a SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles.
• Active or ability to obtain U.S. Government SECRET clearance within 15 months.
• U.S. citizen due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to validate architectures with benchmarking data.
• Support BD with technical needs and align to strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for expeditionary and tactical edge networking.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and end-to-end network testing.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO LANDS, and naval centers.
