Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. You will work with Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster radios across diverse environments and manage 50% travel with remote options where location allows.

You’ll collaborate on tactical network design, perform market research, and translate field feedback into roadmap inputs, while engaging with MARCORSYSCOM and related entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience; OR HSD/GED with 5+ years.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test are required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC operational priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and execute field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure architectures are technically sound.
• Support BD with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demonstrations for expeditionary and tactical needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end‑to‑end architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers.
• Capture field feedback to influence product roadmap.
