Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in the United States to lead shift production with a focus on safety, quality, service, waste, productivity and culture goals. You will guide a team and manage systems, equipment, people and materials per policy and customer requirements.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, adherence to policies, and driving continuous improvement to meet production goals and maintain high performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, production supervision, quality, maintenance or related experience preferred OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience totaling 5 or more years.

Responsibilities

• Act as a safety leader and prioritise safety in all responsibilities.
• Monitor colleague practices to ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.
• Investigate and recommend improvements related to near miss, property damage, or employee injury incidents.
• Support plant safety programs through daily audits, GEMBAs, incident investigations and CI programs.
• Monitor production to verify conformance to specifications.
• Oversee daily production and achieve production goals.
• Manage employee timecards and time-off requests for accurate payroll and coverage.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and sustain gains.
• Schedule daily production and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Process Engineering to resolve equipment issues.
• Investigate and report when production standards are not met.
• Analyse production data via dashboard and SAP.
• Foster a High Performance Culture and promote teamwork.
• Supervise employees and address employee relations opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to Amcor’s Values and maintain open dialogue with colleagues.
• Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
