Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Learning and Development Leader for our lumber mill in Frisco City, AL. The role focuses on developing SOPs and training materials to improve processes while maintaining strong safety standards.

You will lead employee engagement, PBM training, and supervisor development, reporting to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to HR. You will collaborate with Training Leaders to benchmark best practices, track training metrics, and drive onboarding programs for new hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial settings required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience operating software and inputting data.

Responsibilities

• Create SOPs and training materials following GP standards by researching current processes.
• Evaluate operational processes to determine technical requirements for functions.
• Review and formalize documentation standards and SOP improvements.
• Validate SOP accuracy by monitoring processes after deployment.
• Benchmark best practices with other Wood Products Training Leaders.
• Lead training for current and new employees on new SOPs.
